When in doubt if Far Cry 5 has saved or not, just jam on the save game button multiple times. Once these dots disappear, you’ll know the game has been saved successfully. The only indicator you get as to when the game is saving is a few dots that appear in the top corner of the screen. When you click on the save game button in Far Cry 5 you won’t get a box that appears asking you to pick a save slot or even just saying “Game Saved.” Instead, nothing happens at all. There are times when you can’t save in Far Cry 5 manually, but instead of graying the option out, it just removes it. You should see “Save Game” near the bottom of the list of options here, but sometimes you just won’t. To get to the option to save manually, you’ll need to open the options menu (not the map/equipment menu).
However, if you want to save the game in Far Cry 5 manually, things are a little less clear-cut.
